Lansonite™ CPC320
A Lanson Polymers proprietary thermoplastic composite designed specifically for bearings and wear parts in highly abrasive environments.
OVERVIEW
Addresses the gap between traditional thermoplastics and harder ceramic materials.
A thermoplastic composite material utilising a unique combination of ingredients for bearings and wear parts requiring extremely high abrasion resistance.
Lansonite™ CPC320 addresses the gap between traditional thermoplastics and harder ceramic materials.
It has been developed to replace Silicon Carbide / Ceramic bearings in moderate temperature applications where the end user needs very high abrasion resistance, without the common problems such as; thermal shock , brittleness, chipping off, press fit problems, vibrations, dry-running etc.
Low friction and non-galling properties making it an ideal choice for pump wear parts, compressor bearings, sliding bearings etc.

Why it stands out?
Bridging the Gap with Ceramics
It fills the performance gap between traditional thermoplastics and hard ceramic materials such as silicon carbide. CPC320 offers abrasiveness resistance comparable to ceramics—but without their common drawbacks like brittleness, thermal shock, chipping, press-fit issues, vibration, or poor dry-run handling.
Excellent Wear and Friction Properties
-High abrasion resistance keeps parts durable in abrasive conditions.
-Exhibits low friction and is non-galling, meaning it resists wear even during sliding contact.
-Suitable for dry-running applications without the need for lubrication .
Strong Mechanical and Thermal Resilience
-Demonstrates high mechanical strength, able to withstand mechanical stress and load .
–Resistant to thermal shock and impact, making it reliable under rapid temperature changes or physical stress .
Broad Use in Rotating Equipment
Ideal for pump wear parts, compressor bearings, and sliding bearings—any application where abrasion resistance, low friction, and durability are critical .
Industries and Applications

Mining and Mineral Processing
Slurry pumps, crushers, and grinding equipment that see abrasive particulates. CPC320 provides longer service life than metals under heavy wear.

Desalination
Bearings and wear parts in high-sand or high-solid water handling systems. Excellent for seawater pumps, RO desalination plants, and sludge handling. Outperforms bronze or ceramics in abrasive, high-moisture conditions.

Oil & Gas
Used in pumps, compressors, and rotating equipment handling abrasive fluids. Ideal for downhole tools, mud pumps, and mechanical seals. Benefit: Resists sand, slurry, and chemical attack where metallic or ceramic bearings would fail.

Aerospace & Defense
Certain high-demand sliding/rotating components requiring abrasion resistance and thermal shock resilience.

Power Generation
Bearings and seals in circulating water pumps, cooling systems, and turbines. Suitable for high-temp and abrasive water handling.

Chemical Processing
Aggressive media: acids, solvents, and abrasive slurries. Applications in process pumps, mixers, and agitators. CPC320’s low friction, thermal shock resistance, and non-galling properties reduce maintenance.
